Why didn’t Mikael show the picture that was taken of Harriet’s viewpoint at the Children’s Day Parade to anyone in the Vangar family. I know Henrik was in the hospital, but Cecelia would have recognized Martin even if it was a blurry picture.

Had they made the discovery earlier it wouldn’t have meant anything because at the stage the pic was discovered … none of the murders had been defined.
Larsson needed Lizbeth to make all the links to the murders and finding young Martin in the blue sweater … and then rescue Mike at Martin’s house.
Identifying him earlier would have been a “so what?” moment. Hariett saw her brother at the parade. At that point there was no big deal. It would have minimized Lizbeth’s contribution.
