Keene, Emperor of Japan, Meiji and His World, pp.446. Nikolai had read Pierre Loti’s Madame Butterfly before arriving in Nagasaki, and in imitation of Loti had a dragon tattooed on his right arm on May 4 in a painful operation that took 7 hours, from 9 PM to 4 AM.

The intrigued connection would be the kinship through Field Marshal Mannerheim and his mysterious life companion with fictitious personal data seen on the photo.
Google: Mannerheim Course of Life friends Wallenberg
“In 1946 Mannerheim met Countess Gertrud Arco-Valley in Stockholm. She was the sister of Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg, who were well-known bankers in Sweden, and had been married to an Austrian count. Mannerheim found her charming and enjoyed her company. The Countess met Mannerheim in Monte Carlo, France and Switzerland and spent holidays with him. She also visited Kirkniemi.”

The last Romanov mystery
Some researchers are convinced that these remains are unrelated to the royals and that Porosenkov Ravine is not the “final resting place” of the Romanovs. (…)Moreover, the open question yet remains: was there ever really an execution?

Could Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheims life companion have been Olga Nikolaevna Romanova? Can it have been deception to safeguard the Romanov family and their new life in Sweden?

Nobody really knows what Lizbeth’s encestries are..they could be Russian, Swedish, Finland, Poland..etc What makes it most interesting..why the book became so popular in USA ?! I’ve never seen so much attention to the book who some unknown Swedish author wrote and then mistiriously died. Was these books cause of his death ?! And why there were so much attention brought to some Russian or other nationalities whores? Human trade from eastern Europe was going on for centuries But these books all the sudden brought so much attention in media and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movies were made in USA and England…

As a matter of fact there are people who knows the real descancy of these two girls including themselves.
As to their russian descent through their grandmother they are part of the Romanov family with right to the heritage of the last Tsar through Olga Romanov and Field Marshal Carl-Gustav Emil Mannerheim.
Of interest is the recent obituary of David Chavchavdze who is a more “distant” relative and which describe him as CIA-agent during the cold war.

Also their grandfather is described as a CIA agent and hailed as an anti communist by right ving political group trying to wash of their nazi heritage not contemplating Carl Magnus Torsten Armfelt jewish descent. He actually did circumcised his son in accordance to his belief. All the revision of history in the article below naturally comes after his death 2005 but is still interesting in many aspects.

Comparing the photos of Carl Armfelt and David Chavchavdze one could almost believe they are the same or near relatives.
So you are spot on when you name russian finnish swedish and polish connection. After divorcing his wife Carl Magnus Torsten Armfelt married a Polish Jewess who died recently without giving him any children. Nonetheless her son add the Armfelt name to his ???
