“Larsson is an interesting hack but none the less [sic] a hack whose typical fan, far from being an articulate opinions-leader, rides the wave of popular fashion…”

Thats only obvious. People bought Stiegs books because their friends did. If your friends say books are rubbish, you wont buy. Only a few people are trend setters.
50 million books sold, 2 million people ever discuss here, thats 4 percent. Sounds like Jute is right, the majority dont say much.
I read Jute’s book THE LARSSON SCANDAL three times. Jute isnt Stiegs enemy. Hes a fan. He says so.

David – the extended (TV) versions were released in Scandinavia with Finnish, Norwegian and Danish subtitles. You can . They are not due for release with English subtitles until November 2011, when the distributors can ride the crest of the promotional wave made by the release of the Hollywood version. There is an extra half hour for Dragon Tattoo and Hornet’s Nest; only Played With Fire has an extra hour. Each film is in two 90-minute episodes. You can buy the boxset (including an additional DVD of extras) here:

It’s true, a beach read, I picked them up in an airport. I don’t think there was anything mind-blowing about them, and I think comparison’s to Dan Brown are spot on. Soon enough you’ll see all kinds of reports based on tgwtdt about sexual slavery and whatnot, just like all the Da Vinci Code revealed and all that

Then you are not pro women, just a ‘bloke’. If you were you’d see they are a damn good yarn and make many other points only pertinent if you are in the situation yourself, or have been privvy to life’s fringes. How many people with Aspergers do you know? Have you worked in a mental health institution just for starters? How many times has a man grabbed your tit or arse ‘just for fun?’ and how many times have you been alone in the streets at night and wished you had the power and intelligence to tell those ‘mouthy f**kers’ (a group of over-confident young men making lewd remarks about your gender and appearance) to piss off with confidence? A few more women armed and in control in a novel is totally refreshing – even in fantasy.
