Books read by Mikael and Lisbeth?
Does anyone know if there is a list of all the books/authors that Mikael and Lisbeth read?
Most seem to be mysteries and I could probably make a list myself but it seems like something that would already exist. Searching for it is difficult

Mysteries by Elizabeth George and Sue Grafton are read by MB while he’s on the island…

You can’t forget Pippi Longstocking and Kalle Blomqvist, characters that are referred to over and over in the Millenium series… characters created by Astrid Lindgren. Salander is compared to a grown up Pippi though hardly the sunny personality. Blomqvist more fits the grown up Kalle.
From Wikipedia: In The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, three of Lindgren’s books are mentioned: The Children of Noisy Village, Bill Bergson and the White Rose Rescue (although in the book the translation was Kalle Blomkvist and Rasmus from the original Kalle Blomkvist och Rasmus) , and Pippi Longstocking.
IMO, it adds to your understanding if you have read at least one of the Pippi Longstocking books and one of the Kalle Blomqvist books to know where Larsson was coming from and inhabit his created universe.

I made a list of the authors / books Mikael read or referred to (I might have missed others) but I don’t recall Lisbet reading any fiction. MB read Dorothy L Sayers (really good English crime novelist of the 30's), Sue Grafton, Val Mc Dermid, Sara Paretsky and Ake Edwardson. He had also read Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings as he makes refernce to Gollm at one point and goes to see the movie.
