A pity to have this awful ad on this page. Stieg would not have approved.
Re his style: ‘light and airy’ said one comment…’easy to read’ one could add. Why do the one-dimensional characterizations still pull a reader in? Writing all night and smoking to his death, one sees him living his characters, disappearing into the story. He was in a ferment to get them finished, thus: no time wasted on descriptions, settings, feelings, adverbs to give life to dialogue. Almost reportage in places. The story wrote him. RIP and be happy, wherever you are, Stieg.
reen! i challenge you to write a book so gripping, involving and brilliant! how dare you say anything negative and to trivialize his accomplishment! We have lost a brilliant writer..
It is a shame that Stieg died after writing only these 3 excellent Blomkvist novels. What do people think about the idea of encouraging people to write follow up novels using the same characters? In other words encourage people to continue Stieg’s work and post it them this site?
Lisbeth and the others are DEAD without a heart transplant… a ghost writer for book 4. Lisbeth alive with someone else’s heart beats the heck out of a dead lisbeth. She is a fighter and if we (and all the surgeons that would have to come together) all take some anti-rejection meds, we can continue to love her for years to come, ala Ludlum.

Well, Stieg Larsson was also ghostwriter to the two real twin sister now in their late thirties. So why can´t they hire another ghost writer?
